Dudley Dragons have today announced further acquisitions to Dan Perry's "young and hungry" squad evolution. Perry has moved on the majority of the older players in the squad and although he is now left with probably the weakest roster in terms of main skill in the league, he has an enviable number of under 21's with which to call upon. Perry has taken a long term view with regards to his transfers and he believes this team will one day compete with the very best the game has to offer.
Here we look at the current squad and how it is taking shape :
GOALKEEPERS
This is likely one of our weakest positions in terms of current skill ability.
Our first choice goalkeeper is Ernie Flick, a 17 year old welsh stopper.

Backing him up will be Roop, and Marlowe, although Perry has transfer listed Marlowe in the hope he can strengthen other areas of the squad.

DEFENDERS
The defence has a large number of young players in there, who will be vying for the spots over the coming season. These guys will be the spine of the team for years to come. Klucker and Scullion are already up there with the best defenders in the league, so it's up to the others to improve quickly and try and catch up.

Depth is a key issue here, with only 5 midfielders within the ranks. Perry will be working hard to try and add to his midfield over the next couple of weeks.
These four guys will be first choice right now, but Perry is working on a deal to bring a couple of others into the mix who will add competition for the midfield places

And finally with have the forward line...Blakeney, Drinnon and Krautkramer are the three strikers who will be given all the gametime this year - but it looks like goals will be hard to come by when most other teams have 12 or 13 raters vying for those positions.
